28th February 2026 10am - 4pm Ceridwen Centre, Carmarthensire, SA44 5XE
Come and make mixed media collage in the Old Dairy, a converted barn at Ceridwen Centre. This is a gorgeous, relaxing venue on an organic farm. A delicious organic lunch and refreshments will be included as part of the day.
Explore line, texture, colour, tone, shape and pattern with an array of materials provided, including paper, magazines, recycled fabric, calico, threads, buttons, metal shims, wooden printing letter blocks, ink pads, watercolour paints and more. You may like to bring any materials of your own that are personal to you, such as magazine cuttings, memorabilia and found/natural objects. You can include a poem or a favourite quote within your imagery, if you would like to.
Materials and equipment provided are as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible. Adhesion methods will include glue, wire and stitch, the latter two also as a form of texture and mark making.
You may want to create a theme for your collage or purely enjoy experimenting with different textures.
There will be books and visual resources with the work of contemporary and historical Collage artists for extra inspiration. There will also be a resource sheet for you to take away plus links to other Collage artists. There will be plenty of time and space for creative focus, as well as to learn new skills or develop and practice skills already familiar to you.
The day will be experimental and fun, using our imaginations to create unique and expressive collages. The images above are by participants on previous workshops I have taught. You can see more images if you scroll down on my Gallery page. We would love you to join us!
