Come and explore Feltmaking and surface texture. In these exciting new workshops I will be collaborating with Feltmaker Carolyn Young from Narberth Textile Studio, to make a felt journal cover or wall hanging. These workshops will take place at The Button Queen warehouse, a lovely barn space on the outskirts of Newport, Pembrokeshire.
In the first workshop we will make a piece of wet felt, creating a landscape or abstract theme of our choice. In the second workshop we will needle felt and stitch into our felted piece to create additional texture and colour. In the third workshop we will continue with surface texture and then make our felt pieces into an A5 or A6 journal cover or wall hanging ready to take home.
All materials included, as well as hot drinks and biscuits.
Tickets: £135 for all 3 workshops or £50 each. If you just book for the Needle Felting or Journal cover workshop, you will be given a pre felt to work on unless you bring your own piece of handmade felt.
Bookings for all 3 workshops will need to be made by September 7th. If you would like to do the Needle Felting and Journal Cover/Wall Hanging workshops as stand alones, they will need to be booked by October 5th and 26th respectively.
