My name is Sarah Holloway and I am a qualified Art teacher, with a degree in Fine Art.
I set up Starflower Arts as I'm passionate about Art and Textiles. I believe we all have creative potential and our own creative niche. All are welcome to my workshops, from complete beginners to those who are more experienced. In 2023 I moved from East Sussex to North Pembrokeshire, West Wales where I am embracing the wild beauty of the natural environment and enjoying reconnecting with my Welsh roots. |

Coming from a Fine Art and exploratory textiles background, you can see some 2 & 3D examples of my work past and present in the slides on this page. My teaching ranges from Art & Textiles workshops with adults; Art programmes in schools; the co-running of community arts festival workshops, including Glastonbury Festival; making large scale rod and shadow puppets for performance with adults with learning difficulties; plus mural painting, mask making and carnival procession with children and adults. |

I love colour, texture, pattern and form and to express these within my own artwork, as well as bringing them into my teaching.
I have designed a course called Exploring Textiles. We explore a variety of texture based crafts including Feltmaking, Weaving, Recycled Papermaking, Mixed Media Collage, Monoprinting, Stitch and Rag Rugging,. Here you will learn techniques, have fun with creativity, meet new people and be able to develop your skills.
